Listening now, and thoroughly enjoying. Nice to finally have Ostemb0r on, as you guys (understandably) have a natural rapport.

Just got to the bit about Alpha Protocol - I stuck with my pre-order, despite the worrying lack of reviews (which I think might be related to it coming out a week later in the US). Got home yesterday to find it sat on the mat (Thanks, ShopTo!) so, naturally, once I got round to booting up the Xbox, I got straight down to playing... well, Red Dead. Never mind the cellophane, AP's still in the cardboard package...

Wasn't in a rush to play it, but I guess now I ought to give it at least an evening so I can report back with some initial impressions.

Edit: I'm expecting it to be reviewed around the 6/7 mark, but I'm hopeful that it's one that I'll enjoy despite the flaws and below-par graphics. Expecting a patch or two before I really get stuck into it (Got Red Dead to finish first, and may do my Nightmare run-through of Alan Wake too). Really like the idea of there being limited time to make your conversation choices, amongst other things.

Ostemb0r - I am struggling to express the man-crush I have on you right now.

Okay, I'll confess - the call of the west was still too strong last night, so I've no first-hand impressions of Alpha Protocol yet. The reviews are coming in, though; at time of writing it's got a 66 on Metacritic, with scores ranging from an 83 (B+) from 1Up down to 60 (6.0 out of 10) from Gamespot. Okay, there's a 20 (2 out of 10) in there from Destructoid too but, as something of a statistician, that's way too obvious an outlier for me not to discount it...

You've got to be quicker... Dits has already fallen in and out of love with it. :)

Hey did i miss the podcast thread?
Of course i miss the mighty voice of Fly on the show but have to say Dits and Bro make a great show!
the both of you showed you have both been brought up on gaming.

Whilst listening i could picture you as kids in your naff naff jackets munching Wham bars and fighting over the console
Dits " i wanna play out run"
Nick "i wanna play footy games MUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM"

loved it...that is all

Thanks for the feedback everyone, I really enjoyed being on the show.

However for teh record i never wore naf naf. I was an asics gel shell suit, spliffy t-shirt & Nike Air trainers kid through and through. Although Dits did have an awesome pair of Reebok pumps.

Just wanted to add my thanks, really enjoyed the show (have been downloading and listening to the podcast recently having a hole to fill since The WiiDS podcast ceased recording) and thought it was about time I joined a new games forum (thanks to Jack Smith over at the aforementioned The WiiDS podcast for the heads up). I've added Nick to my twitter and Strident & Dits to my PS3, hopefully hook up with you for some online gaming. Will continue to listen to the show and have already identified the TGSReplay shows as the first for me to clear from the back catalogue.

Have a great day folks.
