Good episode, guys. It's always great to hear Dits talking bollocks about the Mac... go get him Xan!

I don't need to. He lays out plenty of rope for hanging himself.

To answer Fly's question COD4:MW is available on Mac. Published by ASPYR

Amazon normally stock a lot of Mac games, including the likes of Bioshock, Brothers in Arms Hell's Highway, etc. These tend to be ports released about 1 year after the PC version. Things are getting better with EA, Blizzard and Ubisoft now releasing more and more games on both platforms.
Game & Gamestation do have Mac games but then tend to be the dual format games like Football Manager, Spore, WoW, etc.
To answer Dits question about OpenGL and OpenCL; the latest versions of OpenGL are equivalent of DX10.1 and there are a number of tools to port from one to the other. OpenGL/CL is also found in the iPhone OS, Android/Chrome and PS3 OS, so expect more indie games leading on that platform. The recent OpenGL conference was attended by Microsoft, Apple, Google and Sony, so things are changing in this area.
Personally, I just play strategy and puzzle games (plus WoW) on my laptop, so Steam is a convenient new delivery mechanism for them - plus I got Civ IV & Torchlight free as I already owned the Steam PC version. I like to play games on the move or in my lounge so the MacBook Pro is the best option for me. I did almost get the Alienware mx11 but the new MacBook Pro has pretty much equal net performance.
